Bixley Course

The Bixley is a 9-hole heathland golf course at Ipswich Golf Club, set within the same Purdis Heath estate in Ipswich, Suffolk, in the East of England. Opened in 1968 by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton to mark the 40th anniversary of the main course. The Bixley shares the same splendid heathland terrain and is maintained to the same exacting standard as its championship neighbour. Measuring under 2,000 yards with a par of 62 across five par 3s and four par 4s, the course offers an enjoyable yet considered test of golf that suits beginners, juniors and seasoned players alike, and is available on a pay and play basis without prior booking.
